생각보다 상당히 빨리 결과가 나왔군요. 총 139명의 학생을 1차 합격 시켰습니다. 그리고 보통 북경대학교 입학시험을 통해서 들어오는 북경대학교 학생이 140여명 가량이었던 것을 생각하면, 거의 모든 학생이 사실상 합격한 것이나 다름 없다고 생각되는건 저만의 착각은 아니겠지요. -_-;;
지금까지 전해져 오는 정보로는 이 남자는 LPI(Linux Professional Institute) 중국 대표 王洋왕양 이었다.
5. 떨어진 분들에게... 비리를 욕한들 무엇합니까? 소용없사옵나이다. 이왕 떨어진 건 떨어진 것입니다. 독기를 품고 다음 해 시험을 준비하시옵소서^^ 그리고 당분간은 일주일정도만은 술에 빠져도 괜찮답니다. 물론;; 그게 오래되면 좀 문제겠지만요;;
라고는 하지만...머랄까...시험 본 유학생 6명이 다 붙었다니...이번에 다들 실력들이 좋은 걸까요? 하지만 제가 붙은 것으로 봐서 꼭 그렇지만도...-_-;;

The Great Fire of London started in the very ear1y hours of 2 September 1666. In four days it destroyed more than three--quarters of the old city, where most of the houses were wooden and close together. One hundred thousand peo-ple became homeless, but only a few lost their lives.
The fire started on Sunday morning in the house of the King's baker(面包) in Pudding Lane. The baker, with his wife and family, was able to get out through a window in the roof. A strong wind blew the fire from the bakery(面包房) into a small hotel next door. Then it spread quick1y into Thames Street. That was the beginning.
By eight o'clock three hundred houses were on fire. On Monday nearly a kilometer of the city was burning a1ong the River Thames. Tuesday was the worst day. The fire destroyed many well-known buildings, old St Paul's and the Gui1dhall among them.
Samuel Peyps, the famous writer, wrote about the fire. People threw their things into the river. Many poor people stayed in their houses until the last mo-ment. Birds fell out of the air because of the heat.
The fire stopped on1y when the King final1y ordered people to destroy hundreds of buildings in the path of the fire. With nothing left to burn, the fire became weak and fina1ly died out.
After the fire, Christopher Wren, the architect (建筑师), wanted a city with wider streets and fine new houses of stone. In face, the streets are still narrow; but he did build more than fifty churches, among them new St Paul's.
The fire caused great pain and loss, but after it London was a better place: a city for the future and not just of the past.

Norma1ly a student must attend a certain number of courses in order to graduate, and each course which he attends gives him a credit which he may count towards a degree. In many American universities the total work for a de-gree consists of thirty-six courses each lasting for one semester. A typical course consists of three classes per week for fifteen weeks; whi1e attending a u-niversity a student will probably attend four or five courses during each semes-ter. Norma1ly a student would expect to take four years attending two semes-ters each year. it is possible to spread the period of work for the degree over a longer period. It is also Possible for a student to move between one university and another during his degree course, though this is not in fact done as a regular practice.
For very course that the follows a student is given a grade, which is recor-ded, and the record is availab1e for the student to show to prospective employ-ers. All this imposes a constant pressure and strain of work, but in spite of this some students still find time for great activity in student affairs. Elections to po-sitions in student organizations arouse much enthusiasm. The effective work of maintaining discipline is usually performed by students who advise the academic authorities. Any student who is thought to have broken the rules, for example, by cheating, is to appear before a student court. With the enormous numbers of students, the operation of the system does involve a certain amount of activity. A student who has held one of these positions of authority is much respected and it will be of benefit to him later in his career.

Do you find getting up in the morning so difficult that it's painful? This might be cal1ed laziness, but Dr. Kleitman has a new explanation- He has proved that everyone has a daily energy cycle.
During the hours when you labor through your work you may say that you're "hot". That's true. The time of day when you feel most energetic is when your cycle of body temperature is at its peak. For some people the peak comes during the forenoon. For others it comes in the afternoon or evening. No one has discovered why this is so, but it leads to such fdri1iar mono1ogues as: "Get up, John! You'l1 be late for work again!" The possible explanation to the trouble is that John is at his temperature-and energy p ea k in the evening. Much family quarrelling ends when husbands and wives rea1ize what these energy cy- cles mean, and which cycle each member of the family has.
You can't change your energy cycle, but you can learn to make your life fit it better. Habit can help, Dr. Kleitman believes. Maybe you're sleepy in the everning but'feel you must stay up late anyway. Counteract your cycle to some extent by habitually staying up later than you want to. If your energy is low in the morning but you have an important job to do early in the day, rise before your usual hour. This won't change your cycle, but you'll get up steam and work better at your 1ow point.
Get off to a slow start which saves your energy. Get up with a leisurely yawn and stretch. Sit on the edge of the bed a minute before putting your feet on the f1oor. Avoid the troublesome search for clean clothes by laying them out the night before. Whenever possib1e, do routine work in the afternoon and save tasks requiring more energy or concentration for your sharper hours.

The El Nino Phenomenon Again we're having a warm winter in here. The global warming is due to the El Nino. It is what we call the Pacific Ocean warm water phe-nomenon. In fact El Nino is the Spanish name for baby Jesus. Do you know why it is called that? That is because warm water moving across the Pacific traditionally rea-ches South America at around Christmas. Scientists have now used the term El Nino for the major warming periods over large South America coastal areas and areas west of the equator and the Dateline. The El Nino comes every 4 or 5 years and lasts be-tween 12-18 months. It brings extremely bad weather like storms, drought etc. It sets fire on rain forests and bums lots of them. So we should encourage people to make a donation for the protection of our planet. We're responsible for lots of envi-ronmental problems and human activities have killed so many animals and plants on the earth. And all species depend in some way on each other to survive. So if we lose one of them, some others might die as the result. This makes things even worse. We' ve got one Planet only. If we make a mess of it, we can't move to another.
51. Scientists call the warm water phenomenon "El Nino" because.

The British film star Hugh Grant can't seem to work out what women want.
"There's no girl who only wants bastards, and no girl who wants a nice guy. Women want both, " the British star tells the May issue of Talk magazine.
"And, really, they'd like to alternate on a weeklybasis. Can any man be both? I like to keep women guessing."
Since Grant's breakup last year with his longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley,the thought of Plunging into another big relationship doesn't seem like it's in the cards.
"How easy do you think it is to find someone you can share 14 years of personal jokes with?

Still, the 40-year-old star admits he can't help thinking that his clock is tick-ing.
"In the end, I want to have kids. But in the back of my mind, I never wanted to have kids until I'd done something I'm proud of--written a book, had my name on something really worthwhile, "he says.
"I'm so determined not to be in front of the cameras any more."
With all of these concerns inside, has Grant ever considered seeing a psychiatrist to sort things out?
"I don't think I need therapy, thank you," sniffs the star.
"I'm frightened of those people. And more than that, I don't want to know what lies beneath. "

음음...그런 분들을 위해서 미리미리 알아보고 설명 없이 오라고 북경대학교 기본적인 것 몇개 소개해보겠다. 소개 해야될 것도 나름대로 많고, 무엇보다 장편의 포스팅 쓰기도 귀찮음으로, 생각날떄 몇개씩 올리도록 하겠다. 어차피 볼 사람도 몇 안될터인데 머-_-;;
저기 현판에 적힌 북경대학은 위대한 영도자 모택동동지가 친히 휘갈려주신것이다. 참고로 여기 근처 모든 대학의 현판은 싹다 모택동 동지의 친필이다. 그래서 글씨체가 다 똑같다. 만약 아는척 뻥을 치고 싶으신 분이 있으시다면, 모택동 글씨라고 하면 뽀대가 안나니까, 왕희지의 글씨라고 하거나...아님 노쉰이 쓴거라고 우겨라. 이거 모택동이 썻다는 것도 모르는 사람 의외로 많다-_-;;
또한 북대인들의 동물의 왕국이라고 칭한 이유가 있었으니...5월에 따듯해져서....10월초 연휴를 마지막으로 할때까지의 기간동안 우리의 돈 없는 학생들이 데이트겸 산책으로 미명호를 돌다가...그냥 불타올라서 근처 풀밭으로 들어가기 떄문이다. -_-;; 음...머....다음 말은 필요 없겠지? ^^;;
님처럼 열심히 하시는 분들이 늘어난다면, 경희대 출신에 대한 이미지도 좋아지겠고, 더불어 북경대 졸업생에 대한 이미지도 좋아지겠죠. 하지만 냉정하게 아직까지 경희대 출신의 재학생들은 아직 실력이 모자라는 부분을 겸허하게 인정을 해야 하고, 그것을 토대로 인식을 바꾸어야되는데......한두명이 변한다고 되는 문제가 아니라서 말이죠. 중국 유학생을 도피 유학생으로 보는 지금 한국의 인식만큼이나 바꾸기 힘들지도 모릅니다.-_-;;
그럼...찌질한 대답 끝입니다. 그리고 학교에서 저를 보시면 밥 한끼나 사주시와요-_-;;
돈 없이 빌 붙어 사는 찌질이랍니다.~~ -0-;;
이번에 총 합격자 인원은 124명이며, 그 중에서 한국인들 86명으로 무려 69%의 합격자를 보였습니다. 다시 말해서 합격자 10명중에 7명은 한국 사람이라는 소리와 같습니다. 한국 사람들 정말 징합니다.-0-;;

Passage 1
A child's world is fresh and new and beautiful, full of wonder and excitement, his our misforttme that for most of us that clear -eyed vision, that true instinct for what is beautiful and awe-inspiring, is dimmed and even lost before we reach adulthood(成年期). I hope each child in the world will keep a sense of wonder and make it last throughout life, as an unfailing protection against the boredom of later years.
If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder without any such gift from the fairies, he needs the companionship( 陪伴) of at least one adult(成年人) who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement and mystery of the world we live in. Parents often have a sense of inadequacy when facing on the one hand the eager, sensitive mind of a child and, on the other, a world of complex physical nature, confused by a life so various and unfamiliar that it seems hopeless to reduce it to order and knowledge. In a mood of self-defeat, they exclaim, "How can I possibly teach my child about nature-why, I don' t even [mow one bird from another?"
I sincerely believe that for the child, and for the parent seeking to guide him, it is not half so important to know as to feel. ff facts are the seeds(种子) that later produce knowledge and wisdom(智慧), then the emotions (情感) are the fertile soil (肥沃的土壤) in which the seeds must grow The years of early childhood are the time to prepare the soil. Once the emotions have been aroused-a sense of the beautiful, the excitement of the new and unknown, a feeling of sympathy, pity admiration or love-then we wish for knowledge about the object of our emotional response. Once found, it has lasting meaning. It is more. important to prepare the way for the child to want to Knox than to put him on a load of facts he is ready to understand.

Passage 2
Faces, like fingerprints, are unique ( 独一无二的 ) Did you ever wonder how it is possible for us to recognize people'? Even a skilled writer probably could not describe all the features(特征) that make one face different from another. Yet aver)' young child ~ or even ma animal. such as a pigeon - can learn to recognize faces, we all take this ability for granted.
We also tell people apart by how they behave (举止) When we talk about someone's personality(人格,个性), we mean the ways in which he or she acts, speaks, thinks and feels that make that individual different from others.
Like the human face, human personality is very complex (复杂). But describing someone's personality in words is somewhat easier than describing his face. If you were asked to describe what a "nice face" looked like, you probably would have a difficult time doing so. But if you were asked to describe a "nice person", you might begin to think about someone who was kind. considerate, friendly, warm, and so forth.
There are many words to describe how a person thinks, feels and acts. Gordon At port, an American psychologist (心理学家), found nearly 18,000 English words characterizing differences in people's behavior. And many of us use this information as a basis for describing, or typing, his personality. Bookworms, conservatives, military types - people are described with such terms.
People have always tried to" type" each other. Actors in early Greek drama wore masks to show the audience whether they played the villain (坏人) or the hero's role. In fact. the words "person" and "personality" come from the Latm(拉丁文) persona, meaning "mask". Today. most television and movie actors do not wear masks. But we can easily tell the "good guys" from the "bad guys" because the two types differ in appearance as well as in actions.
56. By using the example of finger prints, the author tells us that
A) people can learn to recognize faces
B) people have different personalities
C) people have difficulty in describing the features of finger prints
D) people differ from each other in facial features
57. According to this passage, some animals have the gift of
A) telling people apart by how they behave B) typing each other
C) telling good people from bad people D) recognizing human faces
58. Who most probably knows best how to describe people's personality?
A) the ancient Greek audience B) the movie actors
C) psychologists D) the modem TV audience
59. According to the passage, it is possible for us to tell one type of person from another because
A) people differ in their behavioral and physical characteristics
B) human fingerprints provide unique information
C) people's behavior can be easily described in words
D) human faces have complex features
60. Which of the following is the major point of the passage'?
A) Why it is necessary to identify people's personality?
B) Why it is possible to describe people?
C) How to get to know people'?
D) How best to recognize people'?
